NAP SACC

Overview:

• This program engages child care providers in making changes to policies, practices, and environments to increase physical activity and healthy eating among the children, staff and parents.

Lessons Learned:

• Counties agreed that the NAP SACC program was easy to implement, and that the policy and environment changes as a result of this program are sustainable.
• Some small child care centers with just one staff person cannot take time away for training. Therefore, on-line, after hour or weekend training opportunities for staff may be useful.
