Eat Smart, Move More…NC 07-08 Funding: Bladen County Health Department

Bladen County Health Department

The grant received by the Bladen County Health Department will fund Mission Possible: Eating Smart and Moving More Day Camp III for youth who are at risk of developing Type II Diabetes. Campers will be given advice on healthy eating, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle that will help reduce their individual risk factors.

The ESMM Community Grants Program provides funding to local communities to implement strategies that advance the goals and objectives of the Eat Smart, Move More NC Plan.

Funding is awarded yearly, based on availability of funds. The RFA is generally released in May, with funding distributed to grant recipients in September.
