Rowan County Health Department
Rowan County Health Department envisions the Koontz Elementary community as one where faculty, students and their families eat smart and move more. As part of the Eat Smart, Move More with the ABC’s of Nutrition and Physical Activity, staff will be educated about the importance of including physical activity and nutrition messages in their classrooms. New playground equipment will also be installed as part of a community partnership with the PTA and the Rowan Partnership for Community Health.
